Everything coordinators and providers need to know

What is the latest official update from ESEP?

ESEP has published the following statement: "As of Wednesday 27 May 2026 courses published by external providers will be removed from the course catalogue." The European School Education Platform itself continues to operate. Only external provider course listings are being removed, temporarily, while the European Commission evaluates how to better support high-quality staff mobility going forward.

What exactly is changing on 27 May 2026?

From 27 May 2026, courses published by independent training providers will no longer appear in the ESEP course catalogue. The ESEP platform itself is not closing. Coordinators who previously used the ESEP catalogue to discover and compare Erasmus+ KA1 teacher training courses will need to use an alternative source. ErasmusCourse is an independent verified alternative where providers can continue to list their courses.

Does this affect my Erasmus+ grant?

No. Your grant, mobility entitlements, and KA1 eligibility rules are entirely unchanged. This is a change to ESEP's course catalogue, not to the Erasmus+ programme itself. You can continue to plan and submit your mobility activities as normal.

Are courses that were on ESEP still Erasmus+ eligible?

Yes. A course's eligibility for Erasmus+ funding is not determined by its presence on ESEP. Providers that delivered legitimate KA1 courses before this change remain eligible. What matters is that the provider meets Erasmus+ programme requirements, not whether they were listed on ESEP.

How do I know a provider on ErasmusCourse is legitimate?

Every provider is independently verified before listing. We check their VAT registration via EU VIES, confirm their legal entity status, and require proof of past course delivery: Europass certificates, invoices, or prior ESEP listing history. Providers with a verified ESEP history are fast-tracked.

Is ErasmusCourse free for schools?

Yes, completely free. We never charge schools, teachers, or coordinators. We do not take commission on enquiries or bookings.

Where is ErasmusCourse based? Are you affiliated with the EU?

ErasmusCourse is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the European Commission or the Erasmus+ programme.
